All thanks is to Allah, the Ashoura program has successfully commenced for this year. The speakers this year are very knowledgeable and we expect it to be a unique program. Our Program includes:
Dr. Sayyid Mohammed Taqi Al-Hakim:
Dr. Al-Hakim comes from a prominent family of scholarship in the holy city of Najaf. He is the son of the author of Code of Practice for Muslims in the West and the grandson of the late Grand Ayatullah Sayyid Muhsen Al-Hakim. His religious credentials include completing his Islamic studies at ICIS in London. Academically, the Sayyid has completed his Ph.D. in pharmacy and is currently a working professional in this field.
We are fortunate to have him with us this year as he currently resides in the U.K. The program has been a distinguished one thus far, as Dr. Al-Hakim's lectures are academic and concentrate on Islamic thought, theology and contemporary issues.
Hajjah Zahraa' Hamka:
Currently, a student of the Islamic seminary of Najaf. She is conducting an important role in reflecting the thought of the holy household of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and identifying a series of concepts that build a successful personality. She has been well received by the community since she is providing a unique and exceptional style in presenting the information with all thanks to Allah.
Sayyid Hassan Bazzoun:
Through his smooth and well-known clear presentation style, he has been invigorating the congregation of Imam Husayn (as) by recounting history and stories to learn morales. It has been a successful program that has been well received by the kids and youth alike.
The Kid's Program by Sister Batool Wutwut:
This is a very unique program in terms of its content. The program includes the use of media, arts and crafts, and reading the story of Karbala'. The program has been so successfully that children do not want to leave after the program ends.
These programs are unique programs that incorporate logical thinking, intellectualization, and a contemporary presentation style. As a result, for all those who care about knowledge and Islamic education, it presents a great opportunity to benefit from those involved.
